Walk For Alzheimer's!

I've been asked to come and perform some music at the Walk For Alzheimer's event, which is happening at the Cullen Central Park in Whitby, Ontario! (SATURDAY, MAY 24, 2025 STARTING AT 9AM)

Featuring an accessible 1km, 3km or 5km Walk plus:

• Live music (That'd be me!)

• Games and activities - including a brand-new Scavenger Hunt

• A new Wall of Inspiration to honour those you are walking for

• Team Spirit Award

• Picnic Lunch available to purchase (with proceeds going to ASDR) provided by Amica Taunton and Amica Pickering

I'm happy to be able to join with the amazing people putting this event on to raise money for Alzheimer Society Durham Region. Many of you might know that John Mann (of Spirit Of the West fame) was an incredible man, musician, storyteller, and entertainer that I had the priviledge of playing with on a number of occasions. So much so that the title track of my last recording was written because of him. John lost his battle to early-onset Alzheimer's in 2019. It's more than a little poignant to realize that he now only lives in my memories. And that is why this walk, and others like it, is so important. Memories.
